At the end of 2011, Meghan Duggan started a life changing journey. She had a 14-month recovery from a concussion that had her questioning whether or not she would be able to return to her sport. Not only did she return, but she lead the USA Women’s Hockey team to a Gold Medal victory over their rival Canada in the PyeongChang Olympics (not two mention two silver medals in the Olympics games leading up to that!).
What an incredible guest to kick off Season 2! In this episode Megan shares her personal transformation that was inspired from this particular injury and how she harnessed what she’d gained during her recovery process to lead her team to Olympic gold. This episode is a must-listen for any hockey fan, and any athlete that has had to deal with the challenges that come with sustain ing a head injury.
